ANNA BAHI. PHOTOGRAPHY

The images which Anna Bahí has gradually been distilling since the late 1990s follow a clear central thread, namely that self-perception necessarily finds its subject matter in the fragment, in the remains of a shipwrecked body which must be reconstitued using precarious tools, and above all through incomplete plans and a vague idea of what we thought we knew about it (even if it is our very own body); it is a spectre made of reality, memory and fiction which the artist attempts to restore to life.
